1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using PokerReads ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

PokerReads is a private poker note-taking, opponent-read, session, bankroll, journal, staking, and study tool that allows users to:

• Record and organize poker hand histories
• Request generated analysis of player tendencies and personal results
• Log cash and tournament sessions, bankroll records, journal entries, and staking activity
• Collaborate with other players in groups

3. Intended Use & Fair Play

PokerReads is designed for preparation, note capture, session logging, and post-session study. It is not a real-time assistance (RTA) system and does not recommend poker actions during a live hand.

• Users are solely responsible for complying with the rules and policies of their cardroom, poker site, or tournament organizer regarding the use of electronic devices and third-party tools
• Features that log time, stack, notes, or session results do not override venue or site rules
• Generated analysis is intended for preparation, review, and study, not live-hand decision making
• Using an analysis tool while a hand is in progress may violate venue rules and could result in penalties including disqualification or banning

4. Account Registration

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must be at least 18 years of age to use the app

5. Subscriptions and Payments

PokerReads offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid tiers may include digital features such as unlimited reads, the full read engine, front-of-queue reads, priority read credits, update notifications, and private Champion subscriber surfaces. Any founder-led onboarding or review call included with a tier is supplementary to the digital subscription features.

iOS (Apple App Store):

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
• No refunds will be provided for partial subscription periods

Android (Google Play):

• Payments made in the Android app are processed by Google Play
• You can manage and cancel the subscription in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions
• Refund requests for Google Play purchases are subject to Google's policies

Web:

• Web payments may be processed through Stripe
• Refund requests should be directed to support@pokerreads.ai

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any illegal purpose
• Share content that is offensive, harmful, or violates others' rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the app
• Use automated means to access the service

7. Content Ownership

• You retain ownership of all hand history data you enter
• By using the AI analysis feature, you grant us permission to process your hand data through our AI provider (Anthropic) for the purpose of generating analysis
• We do not claim ownership of your content

8. AI-Generated Content

• AI analysis is provided as-is for informational purposes
• Analysis may contain inaccuracies and should not be your sole basis for poker decisions
• We are not responsible for outcomes resulting from AI-generated advice

9. Collaborative Groups

• Group creators are responsible for managing their groups
• Hands shared to a group are visible to all group members
• Leaving a group does not delete your previously shared hands from that group

10. Limitation of Liability

PokerReads is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to data loss, financial losses, or service interruptions.

11. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the app. Account deletion permanently removes all your data including hand histories, analyses, and group memberships.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
